AECOM Senior Scheduler in Ontario, Ontario

Job Summary

AECOM Mississauga is looking for a Senior Scheduler. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides support in the areas of project controls, scheduling, scheduling analysis (including critical path and schedule risk analysis), earned value management, and construction activities in support of projects

  • Supervises, provides guidance to and coordinates efforts of schedulers

  • Interfaces with project management

  • Coordinates development of baseline target schedules, fiscal year schedules, and program schedules

  • Provides complex analysis to determine impacts on the program schedule

  • Provides oversight and incorporation of contract schedules into the integrated schedule

  • Provides support in reconciliation of impacts of proposed changes of scope, schedule and cost

  • Analyzes project planning and schedule updates as well as delays

  • May provide project metrics

  • Prepares complex reports

  • Resolves scheduling conflicts

  • Implements and follows the Quality Assurance Program procedures

  • Perform other project controls duties as assigned

  • Skilled in the use of company cornerstone systems and able to represent cost data formats necessary to control the project.

  • Understands financial terminology and measures and recognizes the financial impact of various project actions.

  • Participates in analyzing and using financial data to identify key project issues.

  • May assist in leading junior staff through assignment tasks.

  • Participates in tracking action items.

  • Able to use drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data.

  • Prepares revised cost forecast for select accounts.

  • Prepares analysis of progress trends and cost impact. May participate in reviewing and approving contractor invoices.

  • Works hands on with earned value monitoring.

  • Evaluates manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations including preparation of variance analysis.

  • Compares actual cost to funding limitations. Prepares expenditure forecasts to identify critical points in project funding.

  • Reviews purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures. Maintains tracking database to ensure that subcontractor funding is aligned with work authorization and expenditures.

  • Possesses the knowledge of scope control and change management. Involved in the tracking system to ensure that project management is fully aware of detailed change order status.

  • Creates and assists with cost/schedule baseline budgets.

  • Familiar with basic cost/schedule integration and basic critical path analysis and other rescheduling concepts.

  • Conducts or assists in performance measurement and associated cost trending.

  • Prepares and assists in various levels of project reporting.

  • Participates in and may lead project cost review meetings.

  • Assists in procedure development and implementation.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline + 6 years of experience in scheduling OR Technical Diploma + 8 years of experience in scheduling

Drivers license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of scheduling experience

  • Proficient in the creation of resource and cost loaded schedules in Primavera P6 Professional

  • Able to work independently in the development of high-level schedules

  • Able to read and interpret drawings for the development of schedules
