AECOM is recruiting for a Financial Analyst to provide professional services and consulting for Florida's Turnpike Enterprise in Ocoee, Florida. The Financial Analyst will work with a team of accountants, engineers, planners, and GIS staff. The candidate will be part of the Turnpike’s Finance group, in charge of a variety of Turnpike projects and studies, providing technical expertise in the general areas of finance, concessions management, business development, transportation planning, project feasibility evaluations, master planning, and traffic & revenue studies.
We are searching for a self-starter to plan, organize, and implement complex, multidisciplinary transportation planning study assignments from scope development through final report documentation. The candidate will oversee multiple assignments simultaneously and manage a variety of project tasks, including outside consultant specialists.
The Financial Analyst will be expected to execute assignments largely with independence, using judgment in making appropriate adaptations and modifications.
The candidate may also be required to carry out complex or novel assignments or research requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Oversees finance projects, managing outside consultant specialists, general planning studies and long-range planning efforts
Develops work scopes, schedules, and budgets for finance planning projects
Organizes and performs finance planning project studies on-schedule and within budget
Oversees project study contributions of multi-disciplinary specialists in finance, concessions management, business development, traffic engineering/planning, travel demand modeling, geographic information systems, and financial analysis, among others
Leads preparation of documentation for projects managed, including Technical Memoranda, Project Feasibility Reports, Traffic & Revenue Study Reports
Leads preparation and presentation of briefings of transportation and finance project study results for clients, stakeholders, and other interested parties
Routinely summarizes transportation and finance project study progress reports for clients
Directs field data acquisition, site investigations and surveys
Evaluates transportation systems, roadway level of service, and forecasts of future system needs
Completes planning and evaluation studies
Prepares reports, recommendations, assessments and impact statements on finance and transportation planning projects
Participates in public meetings or hearings to explain planning proposals, to gather feedback from those affected by projects, or to achieve consensus on project designs
Evaluates finance and transportation-related consequences of federal and state legislative proposals
Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, planning, public policy, or related field demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
7+ years of related experience
Experience with studies in finance, planning, transportation planning, transportation engineering, and corridor studies
Excellent technical writing abilities and presentation skills
Strong organizational skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have a strong sense of closure to see all assignments through to completion on-schedule, with an understanding of the unique requirements of transportation planning for the toll industry;
Strong written and oral communication skills are required to successfully interact with clients, other consultants, and AECOM staff to produce top-quality documentation of transportation project studies;
Must possess a valid driver's license
