Job Summary

The Water Engineering Group of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil Engineer for immediate employment in the Seattle office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below

  • Engineer to support the water engineering department. Duties include preparation of spreadsheets, technical memorandums, research, calculations, meetings to discuss and present findings/recommendations.

  • Candidate will use knowledge of engineering and science principals to evaluate problems and develop solutions.

  • Candidate will use good communication skills to discuss problems with stakeholders and develop solutions. Good writing skills are essential.

  • Projects include: pipelines, pump stations, water resources, water treatment, wastewater treatment, collections, storage, conveyance, distribution, hydraulics, hydrology, groundwater, reclaimed water, storm water, modeling, planning, design, operations and maintenance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Due to nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional engineer in water engineering with primary focus on water infrastructure (hydraulics, pipelines, pump stations, etc.). Duties include technical support, project development and project management.

  • Technical – prepare/review calculations, design criteria, technical memorandums, research, and attend meetings to discuss and present findings/recommendations to clients.

  • Project Development - Supporting clients through the full project lifecycle: planning/design/construction/operations. Preparation of facility evaluations, alternative analysis, cost estimates, drawings, specifications, bid and construction support.

  • Project Management - Maintenance of project budget and schedule. Management of multi-disciplined project teams and sub-consultants.
