Position Title Technicians Recruitment Event

Job Summary

AECOM’s Asset Management Team in Nottingham have a number of exciting vacancies and will be holding a Recruitment event at our Nottingham office on 24th April.

We are looking for enthusiastic people to work in the following roles:

  • Technical Assistants – undertake a range of visual condition surveys of pavements throughout the UK

  • Site Technician – undertaking assessments to assess the condition of highways, ports and airfields throughout the UK.

  • Lab Technicians – working in our small laboratory team preparing and testing a variety of road and pavement samples. This involves cleaning and drying the samples, analysing the contents and logging the details.

We do not require previous experience and training will be provided, however we are looking for people who have:

  • A flexible approach to working hours (some night and weekend work may be necessary for some of the roles)

  • A willingness to travel to sites within the UK (excluding Lab Technicians)

  • A fantastic work ethic and desire to learn on the job

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of GCSE level Maths and English and grade C or above.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Organisational and communication Skills.

  • Computer literate – basic Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to read maps and plans.

  • Ability to survey up to 8km per day (walked surveys).

  • Driving licence.

  • Flexible approach to availability.

  • Previous experience of UK PMS would be advantageous.
