Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for Site Technicians to join our Nottingham Pavement Management System team.

As a Technical Assistant, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Undertake a range of visual condition surveys, both walked and driven, to UK Pavement Management System (UK PMS) accredited standards.

  • Collecting survey data on either handheld devices or tablet computers.

  • Undertake asset data collection surveys employing GPS enabled hand held data capture devices.

  • The vast majority of surveys are undertaken on transient locations throughout the UK, requiring team members to travel extensively or work remotely.

  • Due to continuing survey works, candidates might be required to lodge away throughout the UK for extended periods, which will require some weekend working.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of GCSE level Maths and English and grade C or above.

  • Ideally educated to A-Level, HNC standard in a relevant subject.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Previous experience of UK PMS would be advantageous.

  • Organisational and communication Skills.

  • Computer literate – basic Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to read maps and plans.

  • Ability to survey up to 8km per day (walked surveys).

  • Driving licence.

  • Flexible approach to availability.
