Position Title Field Service Engineer (FSE) NAVSSI

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a field service engineer (FSE) to provide in-depth knowledge of the troubleshooting, repairing and assessment support for Navigation Sensor System Interface (NAVSSI) Systems, AIAS and all associated equipment.

Support includes:

  1. Systems installation.

  2. Systems operation.

  3. Systems maintenance.

  4. Connectivity problems including peripheral, interfaced, and support systems.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of eight (8) years full-time hands-on technical experience within last 15 years in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, and/or repair of electrical/electronic systems/equipment incorporated in Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems.

  • SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of four (4) years full-time engineering experience with in the last 10 years in Combat systems, ASW,USW,MIW, and or C4I. Must demonstrate classroom or Depot training for NAVSSI and shall have NAVSSI experience with:

  • Software loads

  • System troubleshooting with external interfaces

  • Configuring and troubleshooting Master Configuration File (MCF)

  • Configure and troubleshoot GPS VME Receiver Card (GVRC)

  • Configure Layer 3 (L3) switches

  • Test internal NAVSSI interfaces of shipboard IC/Navigation systems

  • Position requires the ability to work onboard US Navy ships and access ship repair industrial facilities.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Position requires an active Security Clearance and ability to obtain a Common Access Card.
