AECOM Principal Structural Engineer in Newcastle, Australia

Job Summary

AECOM is looking for a Principal Structural Engineer with demonstrated leadership experience and high level technical capabilities to join our Industrial team, based in Newcastle, NSW.

As the Principal Structural Engineer, you will manage the structural project team, ensuring high quality delivery of structural engineering aspects for projects. As part of your role, you will design and deliver structural project work, with a strong focus on building relationships with the Client, EPCM, local and satellite AECOM staff. You will lead by example – focusing on delivering projects to schedule, within budget and to a high standard, whilst building a reputation in the market as a team of technical experts. You will add value to the project via engineering improvement such as increased standardisation, efficiency, technical standards and modularity.

Minimum Requirements

  • You will have 15+ years of professional experience within the industrial or mining field.

  • Experience within an engineering consulting organisation with project and design capacity will be highly advantageous.

  • You will have demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to delivery excellence.

  • Bachelor of Engineer (Structural) – essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPEng / RPEQ - advantageous.
