Job Summary

The Ports and Marine Division out of the New York, NY office is actively seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer – ideally with waterfront structures experience for immediate employment.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Working independently and being able to run various technical aspects of a project and interact with clients

  • Preparing contract drawings and specifications

  • Preparing design models and calculations for various structural elements including foundations, retaining walls, structural steel and concrete members using various software packages

  • Conducting field inspections and condition assessments and prepare reports

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering

  • 8+ years of relevant experience

  • Licensed Professional Engineer

  • Knowledge and expertise in structural analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures

  • Experience with various software packages for analysis and design such as RAM Steel, ETABS, SAP, SAFE

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite

  • Knowledgeable about CAD and/or Revit

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree preferred

  • NY State PE License preferred or the ability to obtain one within six months
