Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Real Estate Economics Intern located in the New York, NY office. AECOM is searching for candidates that have the ability to be client-focused, impactful, resourceful, diligent and decisive, yet coachable with the capacity to take direction.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate sites and surplus properties for redevelopment potential

  • Perform market and demographic research to ascertain preliminary reuse alternatives for subject properties

  • Review and profile corporate prospects for AECOM’s services

  • As appropriate, and in teams, help prepare presentations to clients and prospects

  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Geography, Environmental or Urban Studies or related major or a Master’s degree in any of those disciplines. Bachelor’s and Master’s internships have different tracks and will have responsibilities commensurate with the intern’s experience and educational background

  • Proficient in using MS-Office suite of software applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include ArcGIS, Argus, Social Explorer)

  • A rising Senior (current Junior) undergraduate student or a Graduate student. Rising Junior (current sophomore) will be considered with exceptional qualifications or related experience from other relevant internships. Successful Interns may be eligible to return for additional internships.
