Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Project Controls Engineer for employement in the New York, NY office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with NYPA corporate project controls group in White Plains, NY to implement standardized project control system on all projects

  • Develop an integrated EPC cost and resource loaded CPM schedule for projects

  • Perform updates of project CPM schedules and make recommendations on the avoidance, minimization and mitigation of potential project delays

  • Perform Earned Value Analysis and advise management on the potential cost overrun/savings along with recommendations for corrective actions and opportunities

  • Review and analysis of contractor’s requests for contract time extensions

  • Assist client in the defense of contract time-related disputes and/or claims

  • Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity, and participate in regular progress schedule meetings as required

  • Work with NYPA management in extracting project actual costs from SAP

  • Perform cash flow analysis and projections based on the cost loaded CPM schedule

  • Assist the Department Manager of NYPA project controls in special projects as necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or Construction Management

  • 2+ years of experience in Project Controls

  • CPM scheduling and, Earned Value Analysis, Application of P6 software experience

  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and P6 knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • PSP Certification Preferred

  • Knowledge of SAP accounting system

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Power Industry experience
