The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Identification and specification of system interfaces is required
Developing, checking and evaluating the feasibility/constructability of a design as depicted on engineering drawings and specifications
Coordinating with other engineering disciplines such as communications, mechanical, electrical and structural and/or architects
Field inspections to ensure compliance with the contract’s specifications and drawings
Providing design and construction support of multiple electrical projects that involve the following types of communications and electrical systems:
Electrical Service Routing, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
10+ year of full time engineering experience
Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Experience in the design and deployment of electrical systems (such as telephones, life safety access control, security, closed circuit television, public address, structural cabling, service conduits and cabling etc.) is required
Background should include first-hand knowledge of the implementation and practical construction methods of electrical systems, particularly where integration with other systems is involved
Knowledge of NYCT procedures and Transportation Authority system a must
