AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated HR Business Partner to partner with business leaders to ensure HR processes and initiatives are in place to support and drive business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a solid HR Business Partner background and demonstrated experience as a human resources partner supporting business groups while implementing HR programs and initiatives.
The selected individual must be able to build internal business partnerships, provide guidance to leaders and offer creative solutions to business issues.
Candidates must possess effective interpersonal and project management skills; have previous experience in a mid to large organization.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with business and HR partners to translate and drive business strategies and objectives into the appropriate HR actions and initiatives
Coach business leaders on effective leadership, team building, change management and organizational effectiveness strategies
Ensure proper implementation and execution of HR programs and initiatives
Effectively manage employee relations issues and investigations
Advise and facilitate conversations with front line leaders around people and performance management
Introduce and implement programs to clients that foster employee engagement
Partner with internal resources to execute corporate wide HR initiatives and programs
Promote a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship between our organization and works councils, unions and other labor stakeholders by leading consultations, collective bargaining, dispute resolution procedures and all other aspects of the relationship
Guide and drive strategies to resolve difficult and/or sensitive workplace matters, providing objective coaching and guidance on performance, conduct issues and investigations
BA/BS + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
Advanced degree and HR certification (i.e., MHRM, MILR, MBA with HR concentration and SPHR/SHRM-SCP, Prosci, DiSC, ICF, StandOut and/or other assessment or coaching certification preferred)
Seen as having potential to be a viable succession candidate for career progression within People Relations and HRBL or COE rotations
Experience with process improvement approaches (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Simple Problem Solving)
Previous project management experience
Demonstrated experience working in mid-large matrixed organization
Demonstrated experience in implementation organization wide; coaching influencing leaders, process improvements
Experience with union & collective bargaining highly preferred
Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel desired
