AECOM Project Assistant in New York City, New York

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and performing administrative functions concerned with a project with a focus on project-related accounting.

  • Works under general supervision, completing assigned tasks in support of project accounting activities.

  • Provides various reports as required.

  • Quickly provide various analysis so that management and the client are able to make informed decisions.

  • Billing through the review and preparation of invoices

  • Analyze situations and data to resolve existing or potential problems.

  • Plan and monitor the activities of one or more areas.

  • Training on Employer’s computerized system is required as well as proficiency in PC based applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Good management and organizational skills including the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, meet critical deadlines, and determine the priority of assignments based on deadlines that must be met.

  • Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

  • Ability to manage contractors’ expectations in order to keep them working when payments are delayed or not in the amount expected

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of directly related professional experience, NYC DEP Experience Preferred

  • Proficiency in Excel - advanced

  • High School diploma

  • Must have excellent communication and writing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of directly related professional experience
