Position Title CCIP Risk Control Specialist

Responsible for managing high risk SH&E construction activities and initiatives for high rise construction under the supervisor of the project Safety Director. Responsible for assisting with operations in managing the CCIP Risk Management and SH&E programs. Programs can include OSHA, NYC DOB, NYC DOT and AECOM requirements, input and review of health and safety plans, review of subcontractors’ loss data, incident investigations and claims follow‐up. Assist managing CCIP and Safety Program. Conduct field inspections and participate in planning strategy. Use statistical and performance based data to preplan and recommend resolutions to reduce construction risk.
Has extensive knowledge of Federal and state health and safety regulations (OSHA, NYC DOB, NYC DOT, and FDNY), as well as required reporting procedures. As a senior SH&E manager, works with management within the business line and SH&E Shared Services group and establishes operational objectives and work plans, delegates assignment to subordinate managers. Reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Develops, modifies, executes AECOM Tishman SH&E policies and procedures that affect immediate operations and may have company-wide effect. Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation of criteria for obtaining results. May be responsible for managing staff function and may not have subordinate managers.
Programs include OSHA and AECOM required training, input to health and safety plans, use of subcontractors, incident investigations and follow-up and others.
Minimum of 5-10 years of solid safety management experience in the construction industry.
NYC license preferred but not required
Licensed NYC DOB Safety Manager
Degree in Safety (A.S. or B.S.) desirable, but not required
Completion of additional safety training (verifiable via certificates, etc.) is desirable.
Previous Safety Management experience for a construction contractor or construction manager desirable.
Working knowledge of applicable regulations (Philly PA, Fire Department regulations, OSHA Construction Standards, NFPA, etc.
