AECOM is providing general engineering consultancy services for MTHL project and is actively seeking IT Specialist for the project.
The responsibilities of IT Specialist are as below:
Review the FS and assess ITS for the conceptual design, including the applied design codes, design conditions, type of equipment to be installed etc.
In collaboration with the highway engineers, develop a program of site investigation for confirming the site conditions.
Confirm with MIVIRDA all design conditions including design code and requirements
Conduct the full basic plan for ITS system and facility on the road and bridge or buildings for the Client's approval
Provide guidance to the CAD operator for preparation of the drawings and check the drawing prepared by the CAD operator.
Review and check the bill of quantities prepared by local ITS engineer
Prepare the appropriate technical specifications as a part of the bid documents for ITS system and facility design, including miscellaneous facilities.
Prepare the answers to inquiries from the bidder during the Tender Assistance Period, and evaluate the technical part of the bid documents together with TL and Procurement Specialist, if necessary
Review the detailed design and the method statement of ITS works submitted by the contractor and provide corhments o give no-objection.
Review and Check the quality of the works at site as well inspection sheets prepared by the inspector, arkgr necessary instruction if any.
Provide draft variation order in ITS Works when necessary of the design change.
Support the Claim specialist to analyze the claims for cost increase or time extension from the contractor
Support the Team Leader to issue the Taking over certificate and completion certificate in terms of ITS works
Participate the meeting with relevant authorities/the client/contractor when required.
Provide a part of the reports to be submitted to the Client in terms of the drainage works.
Specific Skills Required:
Should be a great motivator and an excellent Time Manager.
Have effective communication skills with good written and spoken English.
Have a good attention to details and correctness of all submissions.
Strong Leadership skill and role model requirement.
Relationship management and work winning skills with clients.
Profit and loss sensitivity is desired.
The role requires front end engineering and design consulting skills. It requires global client interaction as well. It is not a back office role.
5-10 years of experience in computer application support.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or appropriate equivalent
Excellent communication skills.
Prior experience in similar projects.
