Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Controls for immediate employment in our Morrisville, NC office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • As part of Project Controls, the position is focused on major projects, distressed projects, and alternative delivery projects

  • Supports PM’s with Scope Management through scheduling, CPM Scheduling, planning, sequencing and interfaces with contractors or sub-consultants

  • Provides Resources Management through Utilization planning and staffing plans

  • Provides Cost & Budgeting through estimates, spend plans, budget plans and cost forecasting

  • Provides Cost & Schedule control through Earned Value management and Estimates at Completion

  • Provides statusing of ongoing project schedules

  • Plans and assists with execution of project recovery efforts

  • Plans and assists with structuring and collection of completed data for project time and cost in support of benchmarking and bid support

  • Assists in developing budgets for bidding and defining and tracking project scope

  • Tracks scope in support of change management

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma

  • 11+ years of experience in cost and schedule controls for construction or engineering projects

  • External project controls experience would include cost estimating, scheduling and planning for construction; and, Internal Project Controls experience would include financial analysis and scheduling for architectural / engineering projects

  • Able to perform Earned Value analysis and estimates at completion based on analysis of current project progress

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills working in support of our project teams which include Project Managers, Billers, Accountants, Designers, and Business Line Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Finance or Engineering
