Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Electrical Technician / Engineering Support for immediate employment for the Moffett Field office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Assist AECOM’s Electrical Engineering team at NASA Ames Research Center with duties involves filed and site surveys of substations N225, N225B, N227D, N238. Inspect newly installed equipment: transformer, switchgear, circuit breaker. Revision and updating baseline “as-Built” drawings series: 0201, 0202, 6303, 5805, 9801. Draft in AutoCAD the overall single-line diagrams for completed phase, design phase and future phase of Reds and Rups.

  • Inspect electrical manholes high voltage, medium voltage and low voltage at NASA AMES center and update “As-Built” drawings for new ducts, cables and new changes in manholes.

  • Photograph (before and after) new Electrical equipment (transformer, circuit breaker, switchgear, cable riser) and enter them into EPrO database for future reference.

  • Working as part-time variable for two to three days a week. Hours may be increased depending on the workload at the campus.

  • Attendance will be not earlier than 8:30 AM and not later than 9:00 AM.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Federal government project experience required

  • Familiarity with AutoCADD and development of as-built drawings

  • Confined space safety training

  • Familiarity with inspection of electrical manholes and cable routing

  • Due to the nature and the location of the work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree a plus

  • NASA experience preferred
