AECOM Mississauga is hiring a Target Price Manager

Overall Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage a combined owner’s team to work collaboratively with the ECWE SRS Project Co’s team through the development phase to establish the project’s Target Price and associated deliverables.

  • Oversee a collaborative and multidisciplinary team focused on cost estimation, risk management, schedule management to continuously seek optimization efficiencies throughout the development phase.

  • Coordinate a team tasked with monitoring and controlling, through the use of appropriate tools, the development phase process through its respective development phase checkpoints.

  • Prepare and issue regular status reports, monthly and at the various checkpoints identified in the Development Phase process, including assessments of progress on each element of scope, including station heavy civil, station fit out, utilities work, tunnel and tunnel fit out, systems and overall integration.

  • Facilitate the development of appropriate processes for mitigating risks to the development phase, timely and effective decision making, conducting option evaluation, etc.

  • Collaborate with the PDB Contractor’s Target Price Director Director.

  • Act as the liaison between the Project Delivery Team and the client-side Independent Valuation Assessment process.

  • Support the Commercial Close process (i.e. the client side steps between submission of Checkpoint 3, Project Proposal through to negotiation, approvals and award).

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering high-impact presentations to project senior leadership and corporate executive teams. Ability to convey complex information clearly, provide recommendations and facilitate effective decision-making.

  • Proven ability to identify critical issues and determine the appropriate timing and level of escalation. Experience in effectively communicating urgent matters to senior management, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing potential risks.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or equivalent.

  • Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience in large infrastructure and rail transit projects with a construction or engineering company(s).

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience

  • Certain credentials would be an asset including Design Build Institute of America, Construction Management, Professional Engineer, AACE credentials, Quantity Surveying.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ideally five (5) years of relevant experience coordinating large, multidisciplinary teams (15+ people).

  • Experience in Progressive Design Build/Target Price contracts or alternatively in bid/proposal phase work.

  • Applied knowledge of developing and implementing effective project governance practices.

  • Understanding of the linkages between design maturity and cost estimate/schedule/risk maturity.

  • Knowledge of cost estimating, schedule development and risk management including quantitative risk modelling (cost and schedule).

  • Familiarity with bid phase procurement processes (i.e. design development, RFIs, submittals, joint risk reviews, cost estimate reconciliation meetings, colour team reviews, etc.) required to prepare a competitive proposal.

  • Ability to coordinate a technical/non-technical team through the execution of an integrated roadmap that connects design deliverables and non-technical deliverables such as schedule, estimate and risk.

  • Experience in collaborative contracting techniques including big room collaborative work practices, and push-pull planning.

  • Prior experience in contractor side bid development is an asset.

  • Strong negotiation skills and formal training in negotiation techniques are highly beneficial.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $230,000.00.
