AECOM Infrastructure Rehabilitation Specialist in Mississauga, Ontario

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Infrastructure Rehabilitation Specialist for full-time employment based in one of our Greater Toronto Area offices (Markham, Mississauga or Whitby) or any other Canadian office.

The successful candidate will have an understanding and experience in civil engineering and construction management principles and is very familiar with the design and construction of municipal infrastructure related projects. She/he will be expected to work within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers. He /she will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and displays drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Design of civil systems associated with the following types of projects:

  • Large diameter water and wastewater conveyance facilities

  • Trenchless and tunneled installations

  • Pumping and lift stations

  • Reservoirs

  • Prepare documentation for design projects and reports

  • Preparation of project specifications, contract documents and cost estimates

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate degree in related field

  • Registered as EIT or eligible to become registered within 6-12 months

  • Experience with civil engineering, design, and construction inspection related projects with municipal water, wastewater or stormwater conveyance and pumping infrastructure.

  • North American design and construction experience

  • Design experience on large diameter pipelines (600mm+)

  • Experience with trenchless installation technologies

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients

  • Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
