AECOM BIM Collaboration Specialist - Alternative Delivery in Mississauga, Ontario

Job Summary

Our Alternative Delivery Group is seeking an energetic BIM Collaboration Specialist who is interested in advancing their career by joining the team leading the above exciting high profile and complex multi-disciplinary transportation projects and who is able to work and coordinate closely with ADG management, in-house architectural, general engineering, and civil design discipline teams, and construction partners to deliver high quality design deliverables with the use of sophisticated BIM software. The successful candidate will be based in either AECOM’s Mississauga, Ontario office or Whitby, Ontario office, or work from home.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicate with team leaders from various design disciplines for consistent BIM execution for coordinated project delivery

  • Collaborate and coordinate efforts of multi-discipline teams across various offices in multiple cities using AECOM ProjectReady project management software.

  • Development of BIM implementation and execution plans, marketing materials, and project qualifications statements

  • Disseminate and support document control of standards, policies, guidelines and protocols related to BIM and in general Project Controls.

  • Support BIM management during various phases of the Design Build delivery projects including pursuits, implementation, and construction phases of a project lifecycle.

  • 3D model development with Design Build Contractors BIM Team, extraction of quantities from the 3D model, delivery of clash free models

  • Work independently, managing multiple tasks, on multiple projects, with varying deadlines

  • Non-project management project, or non-core, work could include some or all of design reviews, scheduling, report writing, presenting.

Minimum Requirements

Highschool + 4 years of related experience or Diploma/Certificate + 2 YORE

Must possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong passion some experience and interest in immersive technologies VR/AR/Mixed

  • Understanding of the practice of architecture, engineering and construction

  • Experience in a multi-discipline design or construction environment with small-to-large project delivery

  • Solid understanding of BIM standards (national and international), guidelines and protocols

  • Managing with BIM authoring and collaboration software platforms like Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3d, BIM360, and AutoCAD and also Bentley ProjectWise, Microstation and Inroads/OpenRoads.

  • High Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 platform, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Proficiency with Infraworks

  • Experience with ReCap 360 and point-cloud based modeling

  • Knowledge of alternative contractual delivery methods

  • Excellent management, planning, organization and communication skills
