Position Title Medical Equipment Planner

The National Healthcare Practice is actively seeking a creative, skilled Medical Equipment Planner for immediate employment in the Minneapolis, MN office. The appropriately qualified applicant will have knowledge of healthcare organizations and understanding of basic healthcare equipment, practices, workflow and supply chain management.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Determine client requirements for medical equipment to support the medical practice needs for all facility spaces
Develop equipment planning documents
Conduct client/user interviews and meetings to refine and modify equipment planning documents
Provide project-specific medical equipment information to design team
Analyze master plan, space program and/or schematic design documents to determine medical equipment and supply chain requirements
Develop an inventory/equipment management plan that optimizes asset utilization and coordinates with construction schedule
Coordinate activities with the client purchasing staff involving supplier selection, quality, delivery, price, warranty, maintenance, and training
Work with clients supply chain services and legal department in contract negotiations for vendor pricing
Establish a logistics plan to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments for client
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant field
3+ years of relevant experience
Healthcare equipment service delivery
Recent experience developing and managing hospital-based service programs
Developing cost containment and cost reduction strategies
Regulatory requirements and compliance guidance
Knowledge of Supply Chain Services and vendor pricing negotiations
Program development for equipment in-service and training
Experienced in Supply Chain Management
Demonstrated applied innovation
Strong communication/presentation skills
Effective group facilitation skills
