AECOM Entry Level Structural Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Entry Level Structural Engineer for immediate employment in the Milwaukee, WI office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing assignments related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary structures

  • Preparing engineering related calculations and developing drawings and visual aids

  • Performing condition inspections of highway or other structures in a variety of environments including confined spaces and at height (proper training and personal protection equipment will be provided)

  • Working under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

  • Proficiency in Steel and Concrete Design and Analysis

  • Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position including typical office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and drafting or modeling applications (MicroStation, AutoCad, etc.)

  • Familiarity with common structural analysis and design software

  • Attention to detail and quality

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Good communication skills, including aptitude for technical report writing

  • Might require field work and climbing

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)

  • Familiarity with WisDOT standards

  • Co-op or Intern experience

  • Forward thinking and motivated

  • Team oriented
