Position Title Roadway Design Engineer

The AECOM Highway Department is seeking for a highly talented Roadway Design Engineer for immediate employment in the Miami office which supports a wide range of transportation and site development project in south Florida. The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate and established career in the transportation engineering, specific in roadway design.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Analysis of existing and proposed roadway designs
Development of design alternatives
Roadway plans reviews
Preparation of design variations and exceptions packages
QA/QC of construction documents
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
5+ years or relevant transportation experience
Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Florida or obtain Professional Engineer (P.E.) within 6 months
Knowledge in the Florida DOT plans development process
Knowledge of the AASHTO Greenbook Guidelines, Florida DOT Standards and Microstation
Experience in design analysis, final design and plans production of roadway projects
Ability to complete roadway construction plans, maintenance of traffic plans, signing and pavement marking plans, specifications and sign and seal construction documents
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong work ethic and strong leadership
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
