AECOM Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Markham, Ontario

Job Summary

AECOM’s Environment Business Line is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team of professionals in our Markham office. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary, collaborative multinational team focused on delivery of superior services to our clients. This is a challenging position for a self-motivated individual that offers an excellent opportunity for career growth.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical expertise in support of on-going AECOM geotechnical projects

  • Work with other geotechnical staff to provide services for current and prospective clients, and actively participate in local and regional collaborative opportunities

  • Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, contractors, engineering consultants and external agencies

  • Conduct technical review and undertake analysis and design for geotechnical components related to highway and railway projects, utilities, building structures, energy projects and other civil infrastructure projects

  • Work with the team on projects in the GTA, and collaborate on projects across Ontario

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Geotechnical engineering or equivalent

  • 10+ years of geotechnical experience

  • Currently registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage time effectively

  • Willingness to work flexible hours under a variety of conditions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post graduate degree in Engineering or Environmental Science

  • Class G driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle, mileage to be reimbursed
