Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportun ity in

Germany for a

HR Generalist I on the

APS-2 contract . The Generalsit is responsible for the day-to-day issues within assigned area of responsibility. Confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered, maintains data in HRIS systems and assures information is available on a timely basis.Conducts orientation for new employees upon arrival.Responsible for request for interview collection/distribution, appropriate security clearance screening, applicant tracking data entry and candidate-of-choice placement.Performs other related tasks as directed. Employee Relations:Explains and provides advice to employees about company and governmental rules, regulations and the need for compliance.Evaluates and resolves work-related problems that adversely affect morale, health and productivity.Investigates employee complaints, prepares case reports and makes recommendations to resolve issues.Benefits Administration:Administers various employee benefit programs, such as group insurance, life, and medical.Maintains and monitors dental, accident and disability insurance for the contract.Enters data into HRIS system ensuring the accuracy of information.Processes new hire status change and termination paperwork.

Contract Support:Prepares, maintains and distributes employee contracts (new & renewal).Maintain database and notifies management of performance appraisals.Maintains employee files in the HR filing system.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • a) 2-3 years of human resources experience in coordination and/or planning personnel functions required; relevantexperience will be considered.

  • Must have a clear understanding of and experience with general US employment law and practices.

  • Must have a basic understanding of investigative techniques.

  • Must have intermediate knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation and intermediate math.

  • Ability to use OneSource, Access, Costpoint, & Impromptu reports is required.

  • Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees, including top, middle and supervisory levels of management.

  • Requires strong interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment.

  • Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.

  • Must be able to identify conflicts of interest as they relate to employment situations.

  • Must have high-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.

  • Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook and other related applications.

  • Must be able to anticipate internal client needs.

  • Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.

  • Drivers license required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
