Job Summary

Job Duties

  • Collaborates with GDS leadership on the Europe GDC stand up process.

  • Coordinates and leads a Bridges & Structures team focus on a specific sub-discipline or several sub-disciplines related, or Projects of medium size.

  • Undertakes non-routine, complex projects. Performs different analysis and design of complex bridges for rail/road Projects, but also building structures for Transportation facilities (underground structures, elevated structures for stations, terminals, etc.)

  • Partners with GDC offices to ensure delivery and execution challenges are understood.

  • Responsible for leading a B&S design team working for internal clients, integrating resources from different GDS offices (Spain, Poland, India, etc.)

  • Serves as a technical specialist in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles or processes for an assigned area of responsibility within the Bridges & Structures team.

Specific Skills

  • Proven track record of working on Civil & Infrastructure Projects collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams.

  • Experience with international regulations and standards (AASTHO; Eurocodes; British Standards, etc.).

  • Experience with various software packages for analysis and design such as MIDAS, STAAD, ETABS, SAP, SAFE, etc.

  • Diversified knowledge of technology, materials, equipment, design concepts, and construction techniques.

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

Minimum Requirements

  • 12+ years in civil and infrastructure projects; preferably transportation infrastructure projects (road and rail)

  • 4+ years managing bridges and structures Project teams

  • Experience working in the North America and Australia regions will be considered favorably

  • US Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University
