Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Engineer for the Louisville, KY office. This position is responsible for performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, collecting and interpreting field data, and providing technical support on a variety of water resources projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performs hydrologic / hydraulics studies, storm water planning, modeling, analysis and design

  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents

  • Conducts hydraulic / hydrologic and/or water quality modeling studies

  • Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, terrain, hydrological and hydraulic characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects

  • Prepares reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, coWstruction cost estimates and designs for projects

  • Inspects construction site to monitor progress and assesses conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards

  • May make professional presentations to client or agency representatives from time to time

  • Interacts with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within AECOM

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or other related engineering discipline

  • 2+ years of related, relevant experience

  • Proficient in HEC-RAS modeling software

  • Engineer In Training Registration

  • Recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes

  • Effective time-management, written communications skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills required

  • Must be able to work effectively in team situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD and/or Microstation
