Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters.
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
Ensures budgets and schedule meet corporate requirements. Erroneous decisions will have serious impact on overall success of functional, division, or company operations.
Interactions involve special skills, including negotiating with customers or managers or attempting to influence senor level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
Directs and controls activities of a broad functional area through several department managers.
Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, recommending and implementing changes to methods.
The successful candidate will have extensive relevant experience, along with 7 years or more in private equity investing and/or investment banking, and/or development of ground-up large-scale development projects. The candidate will have at least an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Real Estate Development, Finance, Economics, and/or Engineering.
In addition to the qualifications outlined, the successful candidate must have:
Strong leadership and team management skills to help drive project development to successful completion.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong organization and tracking acumen to ensure projects are being properly managed and executed.
Extensive experience in large scale real estate investing and development.
Successful track record in establishing and meeting budgets and schedules.
A record of proactive resolution to finance-related problems.
Experience in investing in/or financing high quality construction of complex multiple-use projects.
Ability to express own point of view in a rigorous interactive team environment.
Interested in working in a success driven but respectful and collegial culture.
Basic understanding of joint venture agreements and loan documentation.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel) and Argus Software with strong technology skills
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities
The highest level of ethics, discipline, honesty, integrity and a keen work ethic.
12 or more years of relevant experience
