AECOM Senior Freight Rail Project Manager in Los Angeles, California

Serves as a senior advisor on projects of large scope and complexity and is recognized as industry leader in the field.
Provides technical support and may have considerable interaction with clients.
Works as an integral part of the site construction team at the project as delineated by the applicable company project execution plans and procedures.
Oversees the day-to-day operations of a large group of employees within a group or on a complex project.
Manages budgeting, cost controls, planning, scheduling, and procedural change.
Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to senior managers.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering field
10+ years of extensive and diverse experience in the freight rail industry including experience as a project manager for passenger or freight rail projects
Railroad Capital Construction Experience
Railroad Force Account Experience
Project Management Experience (minimum $10M annually)
Must have thorough working knowledge and understanding of rail design and construction projects.
Must also have demonstrated success in leading projects of capacity improvements, rehabilitation, new construction, and overall infrastructure enhancements.
Must have demonstrated leadership experience in business development including strategic planning, market positioning, proposal preparation, client presentations, scope-schedule-fee estimates, contract negotiations, and risk management.
Proven ability to successfully develop client relationships and win work.
Must be a self-starter with excellent communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills.
Must have strong people skills as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
