AECOM Program Management Director in Los Angeles, California

Job Summary

Program Management Director is the overall functional lead, responsible for directing and managing all aspects of a large Capital Program (over $500M) on day to day basis. Serve as the lead technical expert for all capital bond regulations and requirements, attends all Program meetings and executive meetings, and participates as an advisor on policy and procedure determinations. Coordinates with program auditors and prepares bi-annual reports, makes recommendations for adjustments and improvements, as well, oversees contract competitive bid, competitive negotiation, and award processes, prepares, organizes training, and implements standardized common construction management practices, monitors the activities of the CM consultants and Program Professional Consultants, construction progress, and contractor performance, coordinates construction management with program controls, risk, quality, health, and safety field inspection functions, and oversees change management, reporting, commissioning, and closeout processes; plans and implements a program-wide Risk Management Plan.

  • Manages or provides oversight on a portfolio of projects or capital program(s) of significant size and complexity, and significant financial impact.

  • Provides strategic plan and delivery on key client and program success; has broad program management impact.

  • Prepares and delivers presentations on behalf and in support of the client’s program.

  • Serves as the single point of contact to the client and acts as a liaison between management and clients on advanced program-related issues.

  • Interacts with executive level government or public officials and/or executive level clients on significant program matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

  • Assesses and manages risk on behalf of the client.

  • Certification preferred.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS and 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including 4 years of leadership

  • Strong technical acumen in electricity transmission and distribution, utility protocol and process.

  • Excellent proven managerial and leadership skills.

  • Knowledge of resources, subconsultants, and partners in the California Transportation Infrastructure marketplace.

Preferred Qualifications

15-20 years of relevant experience
