AECOM Lead Mechanical Engineer in Los Angeles, California

AECOM B+P is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Mechanical Engineer Lead for immediate employment in their Los Angeles, CA office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide project planning, project management and organizational time management skills to projects
Has extensive understanding of HVAC engineering fundamentals including load calculations, conceptual systems analysis through construction documentation design, design and layout of equipment
Develops innovative solutions to challenging opportunities
Analyze and provide solutions to complex challenges
Provide team and project discipline leadership
Provide team member development
Ability to concisely express complex system solutions in very early phases in order to share intent either internally for further development or externally to assist design partners
Provide project mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems design inter-disciplinary coordination lead, for coordination with other trades and consultants.
Provide review and edit to specifications
Provide review to team member for quality and recognition of training requirements
Interact and work with diverse set of clients and subcontractors
Provide ownership of team metrics (utilization, finances, performance reviews)

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
6 + years of mechanical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firm
State of California Professional Engineer Licensed/Mechanical
10+ years of relevant experience
Documented experience with advance design, and technological challenging design with high profile technology firms working to fast paced schedules
Expertise in Corporate Commercial, Federal Markets
Experience with AutoCAD/Revit (Revit is highly preferred)
Experience with Design Build and other Alternative Delivery practice
Excellent communication skills: articulate, assertive and confident
