Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Deputy Project Manager for immediate employment for the Los Angeles, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Work directly with the LA Metro Area senior management team, assisting the Project Managers in this region

  • Perform financial, economic and qualitative data collection and analyses of a variety of projects and programs across multiple practice lines

  • Create and manage spreadsheets and databases

  • Create reports and presentations in both Excel and PowerPoint, and perform various analytic tasks to support strategy, business / financial planning, and operations

  • Responsible for collecting data and preparing various forecasts on key Project and Program financial metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis across the entire LA Metro Area project and program portfolio

  • Monitor the status of projects and programs, with the ability to understand their relationship and potential impacts to both operational and financial performance

  • Support corporate initiatives and projects and attend meetings with LA Metro senior management to track and follow-up on action items

  • Conduct research and analysis, prepare reports and make recommendations based on findings

  • Coordinate with Business Lines and corporate departments to collect and analyze data to prepare reports required by LA Metro senior management

  • Support Project Managers in developing reports in Excel-based company software systems

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field

  • 2+ years' experience

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, high-proficiency with Excel

  • Ability to work with different levels of both technical and administrative personnel

  • High comfort level with quantitative analysis, particularly under tight time constraints

  • Excellent communicator including the desire to ask questions and learn from co-workers

  • Ability to prioritize tasks with a commitment to completing tasks with urgency and within established deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree a plus
