AECOM Benefits Analyst - Retirement Plans in Los Angeles, California

Job Summary

AECOM has an opening for a Benefits Analyst - Retirement Plans to join our Global Benefits team in our downtown Los Angeles office. The role provides professional level support to the ongoing administration of AECOM’s retirement program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administration of the legacy Defined Benefit Pension Plans, including vendor management, assisting with government filings, plan audits and ensuring all the plans compliance requirements are met

  • Interacts with employees throughout the organization, including senior management, in identifying, analyzing and resolving retirement plan issues and questions

  • Assists in the development and maintenance of program policies and procedures

  • Primary focus on defined benefit pension plans with exposure to other AECOM retirement program plans and stock purchase plan

  • Acts as company liaison with retirement plan administration, trustees, and actuarial vendors

  • Coordinates with vendors to research, analyze and resolve issues related to retirement plan benefits

  • Maintains benefits records and documents

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Excellent knowledge of retirement plans administration & compliance (e.g. DOL, IRS, SEC rules & regulations)

  • Significant knowledge of defined benefit pension plans required

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of Retirement Plan Administration, Consulting, or Human Resource experience, with emphasis in retirement plans.

  • Experience working with HRIS/Payroll/Benefit systems, ORACLE experience is preferred
