AECOM Quality Assurance Engineer in Los Alamos, New Mexico

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a
Quality Assurance Engineer to be based in our Los Alamos, New Mexico location.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering functions including but not limited to Quality Assurance review/approval and disposition of nonconformance reports. QA review of procurement documents, procedures, and other work control documents for compliance with the applicable quality program requirements. Assist in the maintenance of the technical, administrative, and programmatic documents related to the implementation of a NQA-1/10CFR830 compliant program. Additional duties will include planning, performing and documenting surveillance/audit activities for assigned areas. Support of Trend Analysis efforts. Applicant will qualify to conduct receipt inspections at remote generator sites. Potential travel to participate in generator site/project office assessments requiring travel within the DOE complex. Ability to write clear and organized reports and other documents that effectively communicate ideas, problems, solutions, and status of projects. Must have strong interface skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
Bachelor's degree in a science related field, or
Associates Degree with four (4) years of experience, or
High School Diploma or GED with eight (8) years of relevant experience.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.
Familiarity with software QA programs.
Knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency Standards.
Experience with DOE Quality Assurance Programs.
Knowledge of Waste Analysis Plan and Transuranic Waste Acceptance Criteria.
Strong audit/surveillance skills including prior NQA-1 Lead Auditor Certification or American Society for Quality Certification.
