AECOM is currently seeking a Health & Safety Consultant and Principal Designer to be based in our central London office located in Aldgate. You will be in charge of advising clients on designs, surveying, creating reports, preparing tenders and advising on CDM policies. This is a role for an established consultant who has worked within a consultancy environment.
As a Health & Safety / CDM Consultant you will join our established and successful National Health and Safety team to manage projects and be the main client contact for advice and support on H&S issues throughout construction projects in addition to other H&S Consultancy Services.
Experience is required in a wide range of project types and sizes, from large commercial and industrial projects through to school refurbishments and national refurbishment programmes. You will need experience of undertaking the CDM Adviser role and it is vital that you have H&S Site Inspection experience.

Preparation of bids and proposals.
Conducting H&S site surveys.
Managing the role of Principal Designer / CDM Adviser / PS Adviser under the CDM Regulations.
Providing Health & Safety consultancy services to clients.
Preparation of fee proposals – attendance at Client presentations if required.
Executing and completing a wide range of CDM type projects.
Providing the key point of contact for clients.
The candidate should have a good level of CDM experience in undertaking the role of PD / Client Advisor or the previous role of CDM-C.
Health and Safety Site Inspection experience and other H&S Consultancy services would be beneficial to the role.
Good knowledge of CDM 2015
Demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
Experience in the production of Health and Safety related documents
Experience in industrial construction projects and H&S construction advice.
Clear knowledge of construction processes
Excellent knowledge and use of MS Office
NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate or NEBOSH Diploma.
CMaPS – Certified level with all APS exams completed.
