Our Fire Engineering team are currently recruiting an experienced Fire Engineer in our London, Aldgate Tower office.
The team are keen to seek individuals who combine: strong quantitative and analytical skills; deep technical knowledge; a sharp commercial focus; and, who are passionate about their work to advise our Clients on strategic business decisions.
In terms of projects, we have a solid pipeline of new build High Rise Commercial, Residential and Mixed Used Developments across London, UK & Europe. Some of the other sectors we specialise in are; stadia, historical/listed Buildings, hotels, train stations and colleges. This is a great opportunity to play a significant part on future construction projects in some major cities across Europe and the world. Additionally you can expect to work with prestigious clients whose projects are changing the landscape of the UK.
Responsibilities will include
Project Manage the Fire Engineering delivery of medium and large scale projects
Developing fire engineering solutions for various building types and at various stages
Demonstrate the ability to develop, oversee and monitor performance based fire engineering solutions
Carrying out risk assessments of existing buildings
Preparation of relevant documentation such as presentations, reports, sketches, drawings for both technical and business development purposes.
Clear ability to liaise with the design team, client, local approving authorities, contractors and other third parties as required.
The ideal candidate should be keen, enthusiastic and ideally have an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in fire engineering
Excellent report writing and communication skills
Good knowledge of fire engineering software packages
Experience of developing and delivering innovative fire engineering solutions for various building types
Knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance as well as international guidance documents
Experience in negotiations with Local authorities and other key stakeholders
