Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Vacuum Truck Operator to be based in our Lloydminster, Alberta location.

This is a future opportunity position.

This position will operate Vacuum truck and ancillary equipment in a safe and professional manner at various locations.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Operating oilfield pressure truck on wells;

  • Hydro testing, starting and killing a well, tank stinging;

  • Working with well head components, progressive cavity pumps, insert pumps, tank stinging, flushing flow lines;

  • Performing pre and post trip inspection, keep record of logs, paperwork;

  • Maintaining all tools and equipment to the required standards;

  • Driving safely and professionally, obeying all traffic rules at all times;

  • Participating fully in job observations, near miss and HID reporting, site inspections, weekly and monthly safety meetings, and tailgate meetings;

  • Identifying and mitigating safety hazards;

  • Executing assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner;

  • If necessary, operate equipment for the purpose of loading and unloading while staying within the design parameters of the particular piece of equipment.

  • Maintain the truck in a safe working order and advise supervisors of any needed repairs by monitoring fluid and lubrication levels frequently.

  • Maintain all paperwork (driver logs, Daily Inspections, etc.) in a satisfactory manner and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver's abstract for review.

Local candidates preferred due to no LOA/Travel allowance available for this position

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum education requirements include completion of High School

  • Minimum of 6 months experience on particular piece of equipment (more if work will be performed in sensitive areas)

  • A valid Class 1/A or 3/D driver’s license or equivalent is required

  • Clean driver's abstract required

  • A minimum of one year of fluid haul driving and operating experience

  • Must be able to read and write adequately for the purpose of completing regulatory paperwork

  • Must be able to read maintenance manuals for the equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • May require Q (Air Brake) classification if vehicle warrants

  • One year verifiable Tractor Trailer experience

  • Air break endorsement is required for drivers who operate vehicles equipped with air brakes

  • CSTS, H2S Alive and GODI certification preferred
