Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Accounting & Finance Manager for immediate employment in the Lima, Peru office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Finance Leadership:

  • Responsible for key accountability including the monthly close process for local statutory compliance and US AECOM requirements and deadlines, business analysis, and the management and driving of the working capital for the Region

Management of Business Risks:

  • This role will be intimately familiar with the operation of the business and with the economic commercial environment, should informed on the issues facing the business while anticipating and preventing unexpected situations

Playing a “Hands-on” Role & Ensuring Strong Collaboration:

  • Will be sufficiently agile to operate as leader while also getting involved in the details of the work. They will be expected to take a proactive approach in helping the business to solve problems

Project Accounting Management:

  • The role will be responsible for driving accounting interface to ensure timely and accurate preparation and upload of estimates at completion (EAC); validate the accuracy of revenue recognition at month end; co-ordinate responses to client audit requests; and review significant project results and variances with the Project Accounting Team

Working Capital Management:

  • Responsibility for driving working capital management and reporting, through the achievement of cash flow objectives, engage in capital expenditures and seek to find cost effective solutions, to ultimately instill a culture of cash

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience

  • 8+ years of experience with the last 2 years in a senior position leading/supervising a team management experience

  • Fully Bi-lingual - English and Spanish- reading, writing and speaking

  • Demonstrated experience in engineering, construction or the professional services industry supporting complex projects

  • Must bring a level of expertise from a complex consulting and/or construction or services business

  • Display evidence of good leadership, business partnering and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated superior written and oral communication skills, the successful candidate will be comfortable participating both as an effective contributor and a listener in group settings which include senior staff

  • Knows the business and the mission-critical technical and functional skills needed to do the job

  • Understands various types of business propositions and understands how businesses operate in general

  • Learns new methods and technologies easily

  • Basic understanding of local and country taxation and compliance requirements in Peru.

  • Acts has main point of contract with external Tax Advisory and External Auditors under the guidance of AECOM Tax and Controller group

  • Responsible for the timely completion of the Bi-weekly Cash flow projections to the Controller group

  • Able to apply proper and adequate internal controls and efficient operating procedures to safeguard company assets and assure accurate and timely financial reporting, including and not limited to banking and treasury functions

  • Responsible to report on a timely manner accounting information to the accounting team in US Corporate departments related to GL activity and balance sheet accounts reconciliations

  • Action and Outcome Orientated
