Position Title Purchasing Agent

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team located in our office in Las Vegas, Nevada. This individual will procure or oversee the procurement of all services, supplies, hardware, software, and other commodities required for company facilities and employees to function below the FAR MICRO threshold of $3,500.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Advise on the most efficient means of procuring items and applicable procedures. Counsel requestors regarding product availability and economic purchase factors.

  2. Review incoming procurement requests for adherence to company policies and government regulations. Determine most effective method of procurement.

  3. Prepare and execute micro purchases with a pcard

  4. Coordinate the work flow and prioritize procurement requests

  5. Develop working relationship with all site personnel and logistic leads

  6. Stay current on service contracts and ensure continuity of service for the site

  7. Solicit and register new suppliers.

  8. Interpret, recommend and implement procurement policies and procedures.

  9. Comply with governmental law, Company and divisional procurement policies and procedures.

  10. Maintain a Government compliant filing system and is responsible for all correspondence on all procurement matters.

  11. Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving and Accounting Departments on deliveries and assist in resolving problems.

  12. Complete compliant files and upload to SharePoint

  13. Responsible for making 60-70 Micro purchases monthly

  14. Maintain P-card records; both on Wells Fargo and paper receipts for reconciliation

15.Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree and at least 3-5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.

  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).

  • Must work well in a very demanding environment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; working knowledge with word-processing, database, spreadsheet programs and integrated software applications are required.

  • Position must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance in order to obtain a government CAC card

Preferred Qualifications

3-5 years of government purchasing; Experience with Maximo
