Position Title Senior Designer’s Assistant / Designer

AECOM is currently seeking to hire
Senior Designer’s Assistant / Designer to be based at site office Krakow, Poland.
Senior Designer’s Assistant/Designer for World Bank financed contracts: Design and Construction Supervision for works, Project Management, Technical Assistance and Training, Technical Support for the Project and Strengthening of PIU’s Institutional Capacity within the Odra-Vistula Flood Management Project.
Effective cooperation with the client.
Preparation of design documentation according to customer expectations and applicable regulations.
Verification and coordination of project documentation by the project team.
Perform author's supervision.
Acting as Senior Designer’s Assistant/Designer - monitoring the progress of the project, preparing the necessary reports on the progress of the project.
Contacts with the institutions issuing the conditions, opinions, arrangements and decisions required to be obtained throughout the investment process.
All other, necessary for the proper implementation of the projects.
Specific Skills Required:
Experience in the Water sector / flood protection in Poland.
Experience in delivering projects for the World Bank or financed by the European Union or international financial institutions.

Over 5 years of experience in designing,
Good knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, building regulations,
Experience in designing hydraulic or river training structures,
Knowledge of the preparation and implementation of investments in accordance with FIDIC contract terms.
Experience in the provision of author’s (designer’s) supervision,
Experience in the preparation of water management plans, flood risk management plans,
Experience and knowledge of good international land acquisition and resettlement practices,
Knowledge of Polish administrative framework, Polish and EU Water and Environmental legislation,
Experience in investment permitting process in Poland,
Responsibility and good working with team, good interpersonal skills, client-focused.
MSc Eng. in civil engineering or equivalent,
Working knowledge of English.
