Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Science Intern for employment in southwest Ontario. This flexible work assignment can be based out of our Kitchener, Hamilton, Markham or Mississauga offices.

This position is expected to begin in May 2023.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in preparing calculations, drawings, specifications, and visual aids;

  • Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories to assist in interpreting and analyzing data;

  • Compare investigation findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to assess compliance, draft reports documenting results and presenting findings;

  • Assist with various remediation projects in the field and office; and

  • Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Currently in pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Geology/Environmental Engineering or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Ontario Regulations 153/04 and 406/19 and Phase One and Two ESAs

  • Soil and/or Groundwater sampling experience

  • Outdoor work experience

  • Good technical writer

  • Class G Drivers License
