AECOM Civil Design Specialist - Municipal in Kitchener, Ontario

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Civil Design Specialist for immediate employment in the Kitchener, Ontario office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Design for municipal infrastructure using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation
Working on complex data sets in conjunction with other CAD and GIS technical staff
Ensuring overall data quality and integrity
Prepare civil design drawings and design calculations
Prepare documentation for design projects and reports
Undertake quality control procedures
Assure that engineering related issues are promptly relayed to the Project Manager for action and follows up to assure timeliness of resolution effort
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in municipal design + 2 years of related experience or Diploma/ Certificate in a civil discipline area + 4 years of related experience and/ or demonstrated equivalency
Minimum 2 years experience with Civil 3D
4+ years of related experience
Technical or Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology (or equivalent)
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D 2016 and Bentley Microstation V8i
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Certified or eligible for certification as a C.E.T and a member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients
Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment
Great time management skills
Ability to work in field or office conditions, and work and communicate with clients, contractors and other AECOM staff.
Previous experience, including construction inspection experience and design experience in surface grading, water and sewer pipe networks and detail design
