Job Summary
AECOM is seeking an Architecture Intern to be based in Kitchener, ON.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Assists in the preparation of designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings
Adapts and modifies design features and operational methods under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level designer to meet project specifications
Supports and assists the completion of design tasks
Develops solutions for routine technical problems
Opportunity to propose designs on smaller projects
Sufficient expertise in Revit to act as the BIM Lead on projects within a multidisciplinary environment
Minimum Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
Must have completed one year of study in the applicable program
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
Well-organized and a self-directed person with excellent communication skills and graphic design skills
Knowledge of building systems and construction detailing
Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
Knowledge in Photoshop, Sketch-up and Microsoft Office
Construction phase experience in contract administration and field review is an asset
