AECOM Contract Engineer in Karwar, India

India - Karnataka, Karwar

Job Summary

The Contracts Engineer reports to the Resident Engineer and has primary responsibility for contract administration on a FIDIC Yellow Book design-build contract including writing and responding to contractual correspondence and advising on contractual matters.

Minimum Requirements

  • Implementing contract management strategies, systems and procedures in accordance with the project-specific Contract Management Plan

  • Producing professional quality documents throughout the project lifecycle

  • Collaborating with planners, site engineers and SHE specialist

  • Obtaining support from the programme-level Director of Contracts

  • Advising the Resident Engineer and the client team on contract administration matters including contractor’s cost and time extension claims; delay damages; bank guarantees; taking-over certification; variations

  • Writing and responding to contractual correspondence

  • Writing technical memoranda for purpose of advising the employer

  • Claims Management and writing determinations on behalf of the Engineer

Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment policy

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering
