Job Summary

The Environment Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented, and motivated Civil Engineer IV for immediate employment, to provide technical leadership to project teams who will be working on planning, evaluation, design and implementation of large-scale civil/environmental engineering projects. The team is responsible for a wide range of designs and evaluations typically centering on the permitting, evaluation, design and construction administration of civil/environmental engineering projects. The successful candidate will lead study-phase design-phase and construction-phase projects related to the civil, power, environmental, construction and industrial fields. Projects will be performed under the direction of the Group or Program Manager in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Group.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage and lead project assignments, including technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using consistent processes and tools,

  • Will work under supervision of Project Director while owning the quality outcome, financial performance, and client satisfaction,

  • Successfully develop strategy with the project team and clients, prepare proposals, and execute projects,

  • Technical writing, oral presentations and working with planning/evaluation, design and construction teams, and

  • May act as primary point of contact with clients

  • Guide and direct junior level staff

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university, or related field

  • Minimum certification: Professional Engineer (PE),

  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience,

  • Experience in the planning/evaluation, design, permitting and construction aspects of civil and environmental engineering projects, including most or all of the following technical aspects: solid waste management (industrial and/or municipal); coal-combustion residual (CCR) management; site civil design/development; stormwater management; environmental permitting; industrial pond design/closure; construction package development (including design drawings, calculation packages, cost estimation, specifications development and familiarity with construction procurement processes),,

  • Must be proficient with MS Office applications,

  • Must be willing to travel occasionally, and

  • Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent technical/report writing skills,

  • Experience managing and directing multi-discipline, large scale engineering design and environmental infrastructure projects,

  • Experience managing technical teams,

  • Experience with preparation of scopes of work, project budgeting, scheduling, and business/development,

  • Experience with proposal development, client interactions and established client relations,
