Job Summary

Essential Job Function: POSITION CONTINGENT UPON AVAILABILITY This is a worldwide rotational assignment as part of a Flexible workforce pool (Flex Pool); with duties beginning at the Las Vegas, NV Program Office. Employee must be able to support TDY deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations as required in support of Predator-series UAS maintenance. Supports an Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) shop in a medium to large-sized military aircraft flying organization. Ensures the timely and proper performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE equipment and light support vehicles. Inspects, tests, and operates AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. Diagnoses mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions. Interprets drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical data to facilitate repairs and/or modifications to ground support equipment.

Identifies appropriate replacement parts in TOs and technical documents and order those parts. Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and re-installs AGE accessories and components. Stencils and marks AGE as appropriate. Services equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air as required. Operates, cleans, inspects, and services AGE tow vehicles. Maintains and documents AGE equipment and tow vehicle forms. Positions equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations. Schedules PMIs as required. Adheres to safety procedures, and follows technical orders as applicable.

Minimum Requirements

AA degree required, or must have completed relevant military or vocational technical school curriculum. Employment category will be based on candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Upon hiring, the company may provide a training class on UAV Predator/Reaper Series maintenance at Indian Springs/Creech AFB, NV; Grey Butte, CA or similar location as assigned. Additional “on the job” training may be required following end of course. Upon successful completion of all required training, the employee will report to assigned location.

EMPLOYEE MUST MEET ALL OCONUS DEPLOYMENT CRITERIA, TO INCLUDE PRE-DEPLOYMENT MEDICAL SCREENING AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT. THIS IS A NON-TRADITIONAL POSITION THAT WILL SUPPORT A FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE.

Must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship upon hire. Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date. Must be able to gain/maintain the required security clearance level and special access authorization as a condition of continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Current DoD Security Clearance

Bachelor’s degree

Prior experience with AGE and/or small equipment maintenance in a military setting

Prior experience with UAS systems

HVAC certification
