AECOM Senior Program Manager - Transit and Rail in Houston, Texas

AECOM is seeking an experienced Transportation Transit/Rail Senior Program Manager to join one of our U.S. offices.
Qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in the transportation transit and rail industry and have a successful track record with delivery of mega-transit/rail programs.
This is an exceptional opportunity to be involved with mega capital infrastructure transit/rail projects for our clients.
The applicant will have demonstrated experience in leading transit/rail major pursuits and the delivery of major programs. The objective of the position is to lead, pursue, develop and execute major projects required to deliver client programs within established and agreed budgets and schedules, thereby expanding AECOM’s reputation as the preferred transit/rail service consultant in the industry.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Work with the local area Business Line Leader and Senior Management on development and execution of significant project pursuits and delivery
Establish relationships with both external and internal clients and customers, including industry associations and other potential consultant team members and construction contractors
Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally
Demonstrated expertise in the area of managing and preparing transportation project teams.
Proven track record with large client account management, mega-project pursuits, and engineering/planning staff development
A desire to work with external contractors/consultants, AECOM’s other divisions/regions and interact directly with major clients
The candidate must be a PE or PMP with over 20 years' experience in management or engineering with mega-project management experience, including 6 years of leadership.
BSCE required in Civil Engineering or related discipline
PE or ability to obtain through reciprocity in 3 months.
Minimum of 20 years of experience in civil engineering (transit/rail design, engineering, project management) or transit/rail planning.
Thorough understanding of FTA Capital Investment Grants program for transit/rail programs
Ability to scope/estimate complex projects
Track and manage task budgets and schedule experience
Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction
Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role
Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management.
