Position Title Process Technology Engineer

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Process Technology Manager to support the Oil & Gas Business. This position can be located in Houston, TX / Denver, CO or New Orleans, LA.
Assists with and monitors the development of manpower, man-hour and labor cost requirements for a proposal or project to aid in establishing and evaluating the budget.
Assists with the preparation of project scope for the Process Engineering discipline.
Prepares, reviews and approves reports, calculations and drawings as required.
Prepares and documents economic analyses and other system studies.
Leads various size groups of engineers, designers and/or specialists.
Provides training and support to process engineers.
Contributes to company guidelines, standards and tools for the Process Engineering discipline.
Supports all estimating tasks required for process discipline, including equipment lists, process estimates.
Complies with company's safety awareness program, office and/or field safety policies.
Prepares and makes presentations to client and company management.
Develops and maintains relationships with clients, R&D partners, industry peer.
Assists and initiates clients/industry recognition of company technical expertise.
Prepares and makes presentations to industry peers; contributes to technical literature in area of specialty.
Serves as active member on industry committees.
Works toward alignment of customer and company objectives.
Assists with interpreting codes and permitting as it relates to Process Engineering.
Ensures quality, quantity, and completeness of the assigned engineering tasks.
Acts with integrity in all elements of responsibility.
Expresses ideas clearly and listens effectively to the ideas of others.
Advanced level of specialized engineering knowledge within a specific discipline and has a basic understanding of other disciplines.
Fully versed in business development concepts and methods and leads the project proposal process.
Strong understanding of discipline tools and of company cornerstone applications.
Fully versed with the process of preparing and checking of calculations as well as the approval, revision, retention and storage of calculations within a specific discipline.
Fully versed in the collection and/or evaluation of data and information regarding technical and economic factors including physical, chemical, environmental, maintenance, operational, regulatory, constructability, and/or schedule factors relating to a specific subject within a discipline.
Basic understanding of factors from outside engineer’s discipline that impact specific problems.
Fully understands the use of requisitions and the role of materials management.
Reviews and advises on purchase orders and subcontracts.
Assists with and monitors the development of manpower, man-hour and labor cost requirements for a project to aid in evaluating the budget.
Leads estimating tasks and performs material takeoffs
- Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education) in Chemical Engineering discipline from a four year accredited college or university.
Minimum of 14 years of professional experience in Process Engineering.
Advanced level of specialized engineering knowledge and a total of ten (10) or more years of process design and project experience, with five (5) or more of those years in a lead process engineer position, in at least four of the following process technology areas: acid gas removal, sulfur recovery, gas processing, LNG production, refinery processing, biofuels, GTL (Gas To Liquid) and petrochemicals production.
Strong understanding of Process discipline tools, methods and software such as: Aspentech Hysys with Sulsim, Bryan Research ProMax, ProTreat, Process Workhour Estimate tool, Heat & Material Balance Tool, ACCE Equipment List tool.
Microsoft Office and Visio experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer
Master of Science or Doctorate in specialty of discipline preferred.
Candidate has presented at least two (2) technical papers in the past five (5) years at widely-attended industry conferences and/or has been an author or co-author of at at least two (2) articles published in industry technical journals in the past ten (10) years.
Advanced level of specialized engineering knowledge and a total of fifteen (15) or more years of process design and project experience with ten (10) or more of those years in a lead process engineer position in at least four of the following process technology areas: acid gas removal, sulfur recovery, gas processing, LNG production, refinery processing, biofuels, GTL (Gas To Liquid)and petrochemicals production.
Five (5) or more years cumulative experience managing three (3) or more direct reports with process engineering responsibilities as a project discipline lead or project manager
Candidate is recognized by the oil & gas and/or petrochemicals industries as an expert in one or more of the areas of process engineering experience listed in the Minimum Requirements section.
Candidate has a sizeable network of high-value professional contacts in the oil & gas and/or petrochemicals industries as documented by candidate's personal contacts list.
