AECOM Geophysical Data Processor in Houston, Texas

United States of America - Nebraska, Omaha

Job Summary

Geophysical data processor is responsible for data collection, implementation of quality control procedures, troubleshooting and management of field teams and data processing. Must be able to effectively communicate with Project and QC Geophysicists.

This individual will support AECOM's munitions response geophysical projects throughout the United States and US territories.

The ideal candidate will possess 4 years of hands-on experience with electromagnetic and magnetic sensors in support of MMRP project objectives.

A willingness to travel to remote sites is preferred, and time on site may last several weeks.

Experience processing Advanced Geophysical Classification (AGC) data is preferred.

For the ideal candidate with experience processing AGC data, travel will be limited.

This is a part-time on call position, and the ideal candidate may work remotely anywhere in the US when not assigned to a field site.

Minimum Requirements

BS in Geology, Geophysics or related field with + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

A willingness and ability to travel to remote sites is a must, and time on site may last a few weeks to several months.

Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with GeoSoft Oasis Montaj
