Generally requires multi-disciplinary knowledge.
Makes recommendations on work methods and procedures and technical innovations by devising practical and economical solutions to problems in own discipline.
Makes recommendations on research requests, objectives, priorities, and timing.
Assess need for change and recommends development of standards.
Assess work against standards, objectives and specifications.
Utilizes advanced scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies when working on unusually complex technical problems.
Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Develops solutions which are highly innovative. Assignments are often self-initiated. Acts as advisor to management and clients. Oversees the work of less experienced scientists.
Degree in science or related field required.
Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or other relevant scientific discipline10+ years of relevant experience in environmental compliance
Strong knowledge of environmental compliance requirements and development and implementation of regulatory compliance programs related to CAA, CWA, RCRA, CERCLA, EPCRA, OPA, etc.
Proficiency in MS Office products to include: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Professional certification (e.g., PE, CHMM, CPEA, CSP) preferred
HAZWOPER 40-hour, and current on 8-hour refresher
Short term travel is required up to 30% of the time for client meetings.
Must possess a valid Driver's license
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Relocation and Per Diem are not available for this position
